TERI Listserve Guidelines:
This is an open forum to discuss issues focusing on the Transgender
Community primarily in the South Florida region and the State of
Florida. This list-serve is intended to provide a forum for a healthy
and respectful exchange in dialogue to discuss activist activities to
further civil rights protections.
By joining this list, I will abide by the following:
1- I will refrain from engaging in personal attacks on others--even if
I strongly disagree with their views.
2- I will respect the confidentiality of others.
3- I will post messages only on issues that are pertinent to the list
4- I will respect people's gender and identity, ethnicity, sexual
orientation, religion, HIV status, political affiliations, etc.
5- I will not spam the list with for profit information
6- I will support other allied LGBT and Straight Communities and their
activism efforts.
I understand that if I do not comply with these guidelines I may be
removed from this list by the administrators/
moderators, and that any
posting may be denied or removed from the list, for not abiding by the
guidelines as set forth.
The GLCC is honored to support the rights and protections of
all LGBT individuals and our supporters. We reject
differential status and treatment that disproportionately affect
transgender individuals and other segments of our community. As the
LGBT community's community center, the GLCC provides a forum for
dialogue among divergent positions. Communication that polarizes
elements of our community, may foster unnecessary and enduring long
term division. We support alleviating polarization within the LGBT
community through healthy dialogue that will serve our community well. Our
agency supports equal legal rights and protections for all.
